Business Development Manager - Shenzhen, China

Description

We are currently accepting applications for a Business Development (Eurasian Markets) Specialist. This position requires 75% of time spent out in the markets in the Asian and European continents and 25% of time based in our Shenzhen Corporate Office.
As our Business Development (Emerging Markets) Specialist, your major responsibilities will include:
  • Drive membership, deposit and loan growth through active business development activities and achieve assigned growth goals.
  • Establish a strong presence and increase awareness in designated communities.
  • Build relationships with community leaders, employers and city officials in designated emerging markets that align with the expansion strategy.
  • Identify and assess business development opportunities in the Asian and European countries and beyond.
  • Build relationships with key business leaders by attending chambers of commerce events and conducting outreach to businesses operating in these communities. Utilizing various channels, including networking events, conferences, and digital platforms, prospect and engage target businesses.
  • Lead, participate, organize, drive, and execute business development events to increase awareness of the organization’s brand and sharing the benefits of being a CEBC member.
  • Assist in identifying additional emerging markets for future expansion opportunities.
 
Pay Range: $67,000 – 84,000; based on skills and experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but experience will be strongly considered
  • Experience in a business-to-business sales environment with knowledge of contracts, negotiation, prospecting and outreach techniques
  • One year or more of experience in recruiting or business development in the Technology industry
  • Knowledge or strong interest in current and new technology trends
  • Proven experience building and maintaining long-term relationships and networks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including demonstrated follow-up skills
  • Extremely strong organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail
  • Technology skills that include Applicant Tracking Systems and Microsoft Office; calendar management software experience strongly preferred; Salesforce experience is a plus
